Meryeme joined Pender Ventures in 2022 to help further develop its health tech investing practice. Previously, she worked at BDC Capital’s Women in Tech Venture Fund, where she led investments in early-stage and growth companies across biotech, enterprise software and digital health. Prior to BDC, Meryeme was an investor at Medteq, where she focused on early-stage investments in digital health, diagnostics and medical device companies. Meryeme started her career as a consultant in bio-based products and wearables before co-founding a venture-backed health tech startup.

Meryeme is active in the startup community, including mentorship roles with a number of Montreal-based incubators and accelerators. She holds an MBA from Laval University and a BA from ISCAE. Meryeme was born and raised in Morocco where she was a high-level athlete competing at an international level.
