Investing in Impact: 2025 Impact Reflections
At Pender Ventures, we seek to invest in companies that positively impact the world. We believe that impact can be a driver of long-term business success, especially when it is measured, communicated clearly, and approached with a long-term, nuanced view. Our 2025 Impact Report highlights how Pender Ventures’ portfolio companies aligned with and advanced seven of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals during the year. It also showcases their progress across our three Sustainable Development Goals themes: Better Lives, Better Planet, and Better Inclusiveness.
Improving access to healthcare, and lowering the cost of delivering it, continues to be a core theme across our portfolio. In 2025, our companies impacted millions of lives and helped save hundreds of millions of healthcare dollars. Measurable data is also a key ingredient in meaningful environmental initiatives. In 2025, our portfolio supported the removal of millions of metric tonnes of CO₂ and helped save or plant tens of millions of trees. Finally, over the past year, our companies continued to make progress on Better Inclusiveness. In 2025, our portfolio companies matched or exceeded benchmarks across organizational, management, and board inclusiveness.
Our work is not limited to measurement. In the last year, we also strengthened our GP commitments toward impact. Initiatives such as resources for underrepresented founders, support to increase diverse participation in management and on boards and the creation of a Head of People Strategy role at Pender Ventures have helped advance our impact commitment targets.
